Barry and his family have lived in Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Florida. They arrived in Naples in 2000.
“I love the Midwest flavor of the Naples area. I was drawn by the weather, golf, green spaces and amenities. I love the outdoor lifestyle and the arts available daily.”
He recommends that visitors check out the area’s beaches, parks, array of golf courses, the shopping plazas, and the cultural activities, which includes plays, the symphony, opera, art shows, art galleries, the zoo, and the Botanical Gardens.
Barry holds a mechanical engineering degree from Northeastern University in Boston. His early career was sales and marketing for heavy industrial products.
After moving with his wife 18 times in their corporate life, Barry decided he wanted to help other people move smoothly and professionally and dubs the real estate business “the best career of all.” He considers himself a buyer representative specialist.
“My engineering background and the five homes that I have built give me the experience to help others through and over most obstacles in the real estate transaction. I love the process. With 13 years of experience, I can usually anticipate issues. Real Estate allows me to meet new people every day and keep my mind active by constantly learning new things.”
He switched to Amerivest Realty in December of 2013, attracted to the company’s use of technology and the CEO, Joe Ballarino’s, technical experience. Plus, he desired to be a part of a small, but experienced group.
Barry, who has been married to his wife Iris for 45 years and counting, has one son, Jeff who is 38 years old and living in the Tampa area with his wife Amy and their two sons. In his free time Barry likes to play poker with friends and golf. He carries a 14 handicap and has played at about 50 of the local courses.
