For 20 years he worked for the United States Bowling Congress as Regional Manager of Midwest Operations, working with the Professional Bowlers Tour and Team USA. His duties were extensive, including co-producing and coordinating the National Convention every year.
After discussing the idea with friends who already lived in Naples, Jeff decided to live out his dream of starting his own business and believed there was no better way than to become a real estate agent in one of America’s finest cities. In 2000 he moved to Naples and has no regrets.
“Naples is a special place on earth. Southwest Florida in general is so beautiful and the weather is just perfect every day. The people that live here, full and part-time, are just wonderful even though we all come from different backgrounds and areas of the world.”
He loves his real estate career for many reasons; especially the people he gets to interact with. Finding them a place in paradise, with the least amount stress, is his forte.
“The Real Estate market can be very confusing and complex. It’s not like going to the store to buy a loaf of bread. You need a friend and confidant you can trust to help you navigate through the complexities and take care of any problems which may arise. I have had one particular agent help me through some pretty sticky situations and I always thought I would like to be able to help those people also while running my own business.”
Jeff has been with Amerivest Realty since February of 2009. “My former broker moved to Amerivest along with several close friends and agents and mentioned how progressive and up-to-date this new company was.” Jeff wanted to be able to take advantage of all the new technologies available that his former brokerage was not offering.
Aside from his duties as a Realtor Jeff Roozen is a busy man. He still stays involved with bowling and is a member of the professional Bowlers Association (PBA). He trains adults to coach bowling to young kids through the Junior Bowling Program at local bowling centers. He also coaches a local high school team in hopes to get bowling as a sport in physical education programs.
In addition, Jeff is involved with his church and is chairman of Naples German Fest which is an annual festival held the Saturday before the Super Bowl. All of the event’s proceeds go to AVOW Hospice of Naples. Donations have also gone to Liberty Youth Ranch which houses homeless children in Lee and Collier counties.
Jeff has two adult children, John who is 30 years old and Christopher who is 23 years old, who both reside is Wisconsin. Jeff, though, is not alone in Naples. He has his cat, Choco, to keep him company. He jokes, “I have one very dumb cat. That’s all I can say about him.”
