Ray’s educational background consists of a Bachelor of Science degree from Rochester Institute of Technology. Before becoming a real estate professional he was a Navy fighter pilot with background in Top Gun. He was also an airline captain for 32 years and a Boeing instructor on B-777 300ER and 787 Dreamliner. He even wrote and produced the fuel management computer training course for Boeing Corp., which has been sold to airlines worldwide. And for ten years he acted as the Vice President of MAA at Airline Pilots Association. He still is connected to his pilot roots and in September of 2013 he will be attending the Tailhook Navy Carrier Pilot Convention in Reno, Nevada.
Ray chose real estate as his next venture because he always wanted to be a sales associate. He says he chose Amerivest Realty as his brokerage because of the nice people and great programs. When asked what he loves most about real estate Rays says, “Working with interesting people.”
In his spare time Ray relishes in giving back to the community. He is a volunteer at the Military Memorabilia Museum at the Naples Municipal Airport, a dog walker at the Domestic Animal Services Department and is a Certified Florida Animal Rescuer. He has trained four guide dogs and two Canine Companions for Independence (CCI) dogs. Ray’s daughter Lauren who is 31 years old is actually manager of Canine Companions for Independence in Santa Rose, California. Ray is also proud that she is a tri-athlete and a level two bike racer. He also has a son, Todd.
Some favorites of Ray include Italian and Vietnamese food, Washington wines, and the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks.
